It's not known how many homes have fallen victim to the Waldo wildfire sweeping its way through Colorado Springs.
The inferno claimed its first homes on Tuesday as it breached containment lines.
Thirty-two thousand people have been evacuated.

"This is fire storm of epic proportions. We're being watched across the country on how we handle it."
Colorado's Governor flew in for a first-hand look at the situation.
SOUNDBITE: COLORADO GOVERNOR JOHN HICKENLOOPER SAYING (English):
"It's dry, it's hot, and then you get those winds. We have the greatest fire-fighters on Earth fighting this fire and there's nothing that they can do when you get this kind of weather."
The Waldo fire is one of 29 wildfires being fought across the United States.
It's grabbed particular attention because of its proximity to tourist landmarks like the Pikes Peak mountain top and the U.S. Air Force Academy.
