Plowed shows up 7 hours after snow stops

Thank you to the City of Moncton once again for not showing up to plow the Berrys Mills Subdivision until 7 hours after the snow stopped today. (Snow ended at 7am, plow arrived at 2:15pm) I realize you can't be everywheres but today was unacceptable! It was really nice listening to the dispatcher and plow drivers laughing when the public called in to see when they would be plowed and they would say we will get there when we get there! I called Monarch Construction early this morning to see when they would arrive and all the man on the phone did was pass the buck saying they are only contracted by the City of Moncton to plow and don't know what area the trucks are in . Lived in this subdivision for 20 years it was great when we had a city worker that lived on our street early on but he moved , and so did the service, and now that Monarch is the plow service that does this area they never show up until long after the storm is over. WHAT IF THERE WAS A EMERGENCY ? We pay taxes and our service for snow plowing is NO GOOD . This subdivision is less then a mile from where the snow plows start from. People don't all work from 9 to 5 there were people that live in here coming home from working all night and not being able to get into the subdivision is wrong. The storm wasn't that big , we live in a snow belt, Moncton is used to weather like this. Soon as I got out of West Brook Circle , Kilam drive was down to bare pavement and so was most of the rest of the city. Taking the plows off the roads earlier on this morning was crazy. Like to hear from other people that are fed up with the service we get when it snows. Leave your story or comment PLEASE. This was publised in letters to the editor in the Moncton Transcript.
