A man in his 80's was rushed to hospital after this single vehicle accident on the Trans Canada Highway & the Gorge Road, just after 9 A.M. this morning. The vehicle was travelling in the East bound lane and hit the median, flying in the air, then down a hill ,coming to a stop at the guardrail on the Gorge Road. Moncton Fire & Codiac R.C.M.P. were first on scene and had to wait a few minutes for the Ambulance to arrive. District 11 R.C.M.P. then arrived on scene as it is there district. Gorge Road was completely blocked off while Paramedics and Firefighters got the male from his vehicle. The Ambulance left with lights and sirens on, with a Firefighter on board and a R.C.M.P. following. The man had no feelings to the lower part of his body and wasn't responding very well to Paramedics. Road conditions were almost dry from a early morning rain, but not slippery. R.C.M.P. still on scene investigating the crash.
