STORY: Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, also known as Kate, visited a children's charity in Kent on Sunday to talk to inner-city school children spending the weekend in the countryside as part of an initiative to help young people experience outdoor activities.
Kate, wearing a pair of Burberry Wellington boots, talked with the children at the camp about the sorts of animals they had encountered in the woods and what it was like sleeping outside.
The Expanding Horizons Primary School Scheme at Widehorizons' Margaret McMillan House in Wrotham, Kent, was hosting children from ARK's King Solomon Academy Primary in London, taking part in an outdoor residential course designed to help build confidence and develop teamwork skills.
For many of the children it was their first time in the countryside.
The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry was supporting ARK in the development of their Expanding Horizons program.
