MUMBAI: Sufi singer Kavita Seth will perform a concert with her band Karwaan and release a meditational album on 10 June at Bhavans Cultural Centre, Andheri.

Titled 'Anandotsav', the concert will celebrate the spirit of life through music and witness the revival of the band featuring Seth and its other Iranian members. The singer will also unveil a meditational CD titled 'Om' comprising of spiritual chants like 'Krishna Mantra' and mantras from the Bhagvad Gita. The album will release on Saregama.

Seth said, "I want to connect with people through my music and want them to celebrate life instead of grieving about loss. Through this concert we have also revived our group Karwaan which had split sometime ago. I will also release my meditational album titled 'Om' during this spiritual concert. So overall it is very special for me."

Apart from the concert, the singer will also release two self-made albums in the coming year. The albums will feature spiritual tracks revolving around the romance of Sufism. An album based on the works of Sufi musician Hazrat Amir Khusrao will also be released by the singer.

Seth has also rendered tracks for much-awaited British film 'Trishna' which is composed by Amit Trivedi. Starring Frieda Pinto and Riz Ahmed, the film premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival on 9 September. The British drama directed by Michael Winterbottom is slated to release on 13 July in India.
