A group of runners re-enacted the famous beach scene from the Oscar-winning film "Chariots of Fire" on the latest leg of the Olympic Torch relay in Scotland.

Thirteen-year old Joseph Forrester led a group of 20 students across St Andrews beach, where the famous sequence was filmed.

SOUNDBITE: Joseph Forrester saying (English):

"It was amazing and I am still shocked that this many people came to see me run with it and I am just really happy they came. I only though there'd be like a few people here. There's quite a lot of people just come to see run, re-enacting that film Chariots of Fire."

"Chariots of Fire" won four Oscars in 1981. The film, about the true story of two British athletes in the 1924 Games, has been digitally re-mastered and will be re-released in cinemas in July, just in time for the London games.
