Spider-Man has hit Japan. The cast of "The Amazing Spider-Man" walked the red carpet in Tokyo to promote one of the summer's most anticipated films. The new webbed wonder himself, Andrew Garfield, posed for photos. He was joined by his co-star and leading lady, Emma Stone. "Spider-Man" will start hitting theaters globally at the end of June and beginning of July.
Viola Davis has received a 2012 Women In Film Crystal award. The actress was on hand in Los Angeles to accept the honor - presented to her by her former "Doubt" co-star and friend, Meryl Streep, who praised Davis as "a lion-hearted woman."
It was a celebrity-studded Friars Club dinner in New York as Tom Cruise accepted the foundation's entertainment icon award, making him the fourth person in the club's 108 year history to receive the honor. Cruise said he felt privileged to be the recipient. He's currently traveling around the globe to promote his latest film, "Rock of Ages," which is due out June 15.
Finally, Kirk Douglas had a trip down memory lane in Hollywood - unveiling his refurbished hand and foot prints that were placed in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre 50 years ago. The 95-year old actor also took the time to launch his new memoir - and 10th self-penned book - "I am Spartacus! Making a Film, Breaking the Blacklist."
