The aftermath of a NATO air strike in Afghanistan's Logar Province, roughly 19 miles south of Kabul. These villagers say 18 civilians were killed in the attack including women and children.

SOUNDBITE: Sayed Ahmad, resident of Barakai Barak district in southern Loga province saying:

"In these houses, nobody has been left alive. All were martyred --- male, female or children. They were not Taliban, they haven't fought with anyone and they haven't attacked anyone."

NATO says the strike, part of a raid on a local Taliban commander resulted in several insurgents deaths but no civilians were killed.

They also reported that two women were injured but their injuries weren't life threatening. The strike took place as suicide bombers detonated themselves outside the U.S. military base in Kandahar, killing 20 civilians and wounding 50.
