An ominous column of smoke could be seen over the of Jericho ---the purported aftermath of government shelling according to new video posted to a social media website.

Outside of Damascus, opponents of President Bashar al Assad chanted "We have not forgotten the blood of the martyrs."
The demonstration took place as the president condemned the killing of 100 people more than a week ago.
In a speech to parliament, Assad attributed the massacre to terrorists acting at the direction of foreign groups. He also pledged to continue a crackdown on such groups.
