Sophia Al-Maria, a Qatari writer who took part in the Doha Tribeca Film Festival's one minute film challenge, recently won the festival's award for her directorial debut, The Racer.

Here, she talks to Al Jazeera's Joanna Blundell about her award-winning short film, what motivates her, and where she draws her inspiration.
