More than two weeks after major floods submerged large areas of the northern Philippines, residents are faced with the daunting task of cleaning up.

In the capital, Manila, thousands of tonnes of debris still cover the streets.

As Al Jazeera's Marga Ortigas reports, even though city workers are working around the clock, it will likely take months before the city begins to return to life as normal before the floods.
