Muskaan was born in Rajkot in Gujarat. She has twin younger sister & brother, Yashvi Mehani & Manthan Mehani. She is half-sindhi & half-gujarati as her father is Sindhi & mother, Gujarati. She originally wanted to pursue her career in teaching as her mom, Aashna Mehani is a secondary school teacher in St. Marina's High School at Matunga & her father, Mr. Rajendra Mehani, is a well known proffessor at NKT College in Matunga. Her brother Manthan is a Real Estate Agent & his wife Swati Mehani is the owner of the well known, Mantra Beauty Salon at Matunga. Her sister, Yashvi Jhurani (married to Jai Jhurani) is Interior Designer at D'decor, while Jai Jhurani is a owner Sony Electronics Store at Matunga.
