A Goan temple is called as Deul or a Sausthan in Konkani. The temple used to be the centre of the village or city, and all the other social, cultural and economic gatherings in Goa. This Institute was called as Gramasanstha/Gaunkari in Konkani or Communidades in Portuguese.
