Prosecutors seek life term for Indonesian militant

Militant Umar Patek stands trial in Indonesia as the key suspect in the 2002 Bali nightclub bombings that killed 202 people.
His prosecutors are urging the court to sentence him to life in prison.
Patek is also accused of mixing chemicals for 13 bombs that detonated in five churches in Jakarta on Christmas Eve 2000, claiming 15 lives.
Patek admits that he built the bombs, but claims he did not know how they would be used.
Expressing regret for the attack he told the courtroom he was against the bombing strategy.

"I regret the incident happened, I was against it from the beginning."
A verdict is expected in June.
