Six policemen are killed in Afghanistan when Taliban insurgents dressed as police officers attack the compound of the provincial governor of Farah.
Wearing suicide vests and armed with rocket-propelled grenades, the attackers raided the compound in the war-torn province.
(SOUNDBITE) (Pashto) MOHAMMAD GHOS MALYA, POLICE HEAD OF SECURITY, FARAH PROVINCE, SAYING:
"The attackers were armed with AK-47, grenade and RPG. They launched the attack against the provincial office. Six policemen were martyred and three others wounded. There were also nine civilians killed in this attack."
