Taiwan cracks down on underground radio stations

Taiwan's government says it's making big gains against criminal operators of underground radio stations.

Over the past three months, the office of the prime minister has been personally overseeing a crackdown.

This is attributed to the sale of often fake and harmful drugs from advertisers.

So widespread is the problem and so good the marketing, says the government, that it's made it a top public health priority.

Al Jazeera's Steve Chao reports.
