Turkish parties vie for youth vote

In Turkey, political problems and electoral promises abound.

With more than half of the country's population under 30 years of age, and 26 per cent of those unemployed being youths, the priority might now be about getting the youth vote.

Turkey is tapping into the power of its youth in politics, with the minimum age to run for parliament having recently been lowered from 30 to 25.

Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall reports from Istanbul.
