They dance, sing and perform stunts on horseback at the grand finale of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond jubilee ceremony marking her 60 years on the throne.

The Windsor Castle event included 550 horses and more than 1,000 dancers and musicians as well as several celebrities commemorating the 250 state visits the Queen has made during her reign.

Presenters also marked how she ascended the throne -- on holiday at the famed Treetops Hotel in Kenya.

"In February 1952 the Queen was told, in the Treetops in Kenya, that her father had died. The Kenyans still remark that the princess went up a tree and that a queen came down."

The performances included show riders, New Zealand Maori dancers and Canadian Mounties on horseback as well as stars like singer Susan Boyle.
