A mythologically important place, Muchlind Sarovar is stationed near the Maha Bodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya. As per the popular mythology, Lord Gautam Budha was medidating at this place when strong winds and rains poured down and Lord Vishnu descended and protected Gautam Budha from the rains and winds. The statue at the middle of the pond (Sarovar) represents the same epic.
