More UN supplies and monitors arrive in Syria

Under the cover of night, the Syrian capital Damascus erupts with gunfire.
Whether from government troops, or anti-regime rebels, it's not clear... but it does illustrate the continued violence despite a United Nations brokered truce.
The April 12th ceasefire, put in place by Kofi Annan, has been slow to take shape. Annan said Tuesday reports of violence by government forces as well as from the opposition were worrying.
Fighting between anti-government forces and those loyal to President Bashar al-Assad has been ongoing for more than a year.
Earlier in the day, the first shipment of computers, telephones and communications equipment arrived to help the UN observers already on the ground.
Annan's six-point peace plan called for an end to all fighting, humanitarian access, the deployment of observers to monitor the truce, and dialogue between the two sides.
