It is amazing how some of us stumble upon our passions. It is inspiring that some of us achieve great success in humble ways.
What started as film-making by taking a sharp diversion from engineering sciences, saw Ryan Lobo become a photographer and author too. Ryan has contributed to over 60 films and co-produced 'The Redemption of General Butt Naked', which won the Best Cinematography award at Sundance, 2011. Ryan's photographs of Liberia, Afghanistan and Iraq offer insights on the experiences of a film-maker in war struck regions. His journal in relation to the same has been published privately under the title 'War and Forgiveness'. In this episode we get him talking on what it was like to work in a war zone and more.
Surprisingly, it was a lot of fun filming with Ryan. At first I couldn't quite get him since he came across as disinterested and extremely sure of himself, but soon enough his warmth and humour came through.
