10 years Muziekpublique | Moufadhel Adhoum (oud): "I La Sadiqui"

This piece for oud entitled ''I La Sadiqui' is composed and played by the Tunesian Moufadhel Adhoum (Hijaz, Ghalia Benali, Khalid Izri,...). It represents a hymn to friendship, which he usually plays accompanied by other musicians. In this piece, Moufadhel creates a dialogue between composed and improvised music . The maqam (or mode) nahawand is the core of this composition, eloquently used to play melancholic as well as hopefull melodies. This way Moufadhel tells the story of a lost friendship and the memories of good old times, followed by an encounter and the hope for a renewed friendship.
