STORY: Thousands of people commemorated the annual Australian and New Zealand Army Corp (ANZAC) day parade in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday (April 25).

The parade includes various members of Australia's Army, Navy and Airforce divisions past and present along with allied forces who march to honour the Australia and New Zealand soldiers that landed on the shores of Gallipoli on the 25th of April 1915 during World War 1.

The landing at Gallipoli was to capture Constantinople which was an ally of Germany. The allied forces which included Australia, New Zealand the United kingdom and France were met with fierce resistance from the Ottoman Army, with casualties of just over 21,000.

ANZAC day is now a day that remembers all Australian's that have served and died in all wars and conflicts.
