Palestinians have marked an annual day of solidarity with the thousands of their own people languishing in Israeli jails. Thousands of people joined protests to mark Prisoners' Day in the West Bank and Gaza.
Over 1,000 of the 4,700 Palestinian prisoners being held by Israel, have gone on open-ended hunger strikes in a protest at conditions inside prisons.
