In an effort to reach more Syrians in need of aid, the International Committee of Red Cross president arrives in Damascus to discuss Syria's humanitarian crisis.
ICRC President Jakob Kellenberger is meeting with high-level Syrian officials, including the foreign minister.
Syria's uprising has left thousands dead and aid organizations have been unable to reach some areas amid ongoing violence.

"It is a heart of my visit are discussions with the minister of foreign affairs, the minister of interior and the minister of health. I have just had now a very long meeting with minister of foreign affairs, but I think it is too early"
Syria has pledged to withdraw its military from towns by April 10 ahead of a planned ceasefire two days later, but many are sceptical that President Bashar al-Assad's regime will halt the attacks.
