JOSIE FIELD
After 6 years experience in the South African music industry, starting her career playing open mic nights and folk clubs, she now has three albums under her belt, the latest of which has been describe as her best work ever! Field's many hits have been played in excess on all major stations nationally, she has supported huge international acts like James Blunt, Ziggy Marley, Westlife and more recently, Michelle Shocked -- and been nominated for three SAMAs and two MK Awards. She sang for Mandela at his 90th Birthday party at JHB stadium and performed at Fan Parks at the Semi and Finals of the Soccer World Cup. In 2010 Field was an ambassador for the Levi Strauss Curve ID campaign, which has changed the way woman shop for jeans forever. Last year her song Power taken from 1984, was partnered with the Suzuki Kizashi. Last year saw Field organize her first music festival, The Drake Music Festival, which she promoted, managed and ran all herself. Not just a singer songwriter, Field is a powerful package.
