PRESENTED BY HADY MAWAJDEH
Fire In The Kitchen started when a group of young individuals decided they wanted to be kick-ass. In striving for this goal, they formed Fire In The Kitchen with lead man and wavy hair enthusiast, Aaron Blackerby, a funkay bass player, Greg Capariss, Dan Auerbach's illegitimate son, Sam Ogden and Landis Chisenhall on the drums (some say he uses Thor's old hammer).
When they sat down one night after a show to discuss what type of genre they thought they fell in, too many adjectives started to come out that they eventually said "Let's Rock!" Sometimes the FITKBand has been known to break out into jazzy freestyles but, bring it all back together with a headbanging medley. One thing is for certain...they will pour their heart and soul into every show that they have.
With influences ranging from Ryan Bingham, Ryan Adams, Bob Schneider, The Black Keys, Vampire Weekend, Nickel Creek and Jay-Z they have formed a sound that at the end of the night is going to get your feet moving.
Currently you can find them playing all around the live music capitol of the world, Austin, TX as they are in the midst of recording their debut album due out in the Summer of 2012.
Well we told y'all we have big things coming out way and coming up at the end of February we will be opening up for our buddy Brandon Bolin for his CD release party at Antone's with Emory Quinn to finish off the night.
March we will be traveling down the block to play some unofficial SXSW shows for you guys. If during the mayhem of SXSW you find it really hard to get into a show, we'll come and play at your house party. We like to party and if you're in town for SXSW your obviously do as well. So be sure to come and rage with us in the very near future.
Be sure to check out our facebook and twitter pages in the event that we get shows at the very last minute.
If you enjoy our music and want to hear it in a town near us then direct yourself over to our Contact Us page and write us an email. We'll do our best to be as responsive as possible to get back with you.
