Hari & Aruna Sharma were invited to Society for Neuroprotection & Neuroplasticity (SSNN) congress in Dubrovnik, Croatia, Hotel Valamar Lacroma, March 15-18, 2012 to give a key note speech on Neuroprotective effects of cerebrolysin in traumatic brain injuries in the 1st inaugurating session of the congress (March 15). The congress was started by the speech of Hari Sharma in which he showed that cerebrolysin could be a promising agent in reducing brain pathology in traumatic injuries if given in suitable doses and in right time after the insult. Also, his novel results showed that nanowiring of cerebrolysin could further enhance the neuroprotective effects of the compound and reduce brain pathologies following brain injuries of various kinds. However, he showed that the outcome of brain injuries could be different if the skull fracture is present or not. Also other factors influencing brain injury outcome e.g., anesthesia and brain temperature was also discussed in brief.
