ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION

STORY: Catherine the Duchess of Cambridge flexed her muscles on Thursday (March 15), training with Great Britain's hockey team at the Olympic Park in east London.

As captain of the first XI hockey team at her Marlborough College school, Kate is no stranger to the game and appeared to enjoy running around the newly built hockey arena.

In her school days, she also participated in tennis, netball, swimming and rowing.

The Duchess, who is an Olympic ambassador also toured the park to meet staff and other dignitaries during the 90-minute visit.

Team GB hockey team presented Kate with her very own shirt, with "Cambridge" written on the back.

30-year old Kate has in the past been keen to show off her athletic side. During a visit to Canada with Prince William, she enthusiastically took part in a dragon boat race against her husband.

Last year, Kate, William and Prince Harry were announced as Team GB and Paralympics Ambassadors. The royal trio join 27 Olympic veterans chosen by the British Olympic Association to act as 2012 ambassadors.
