Betty White's appeal, Russell Brand's arrest warrant

Betty White, the 90-year-old queen of comedy, remained the star with the most audience appeal in 2011 while cross-dressing Tyler Perry of the "Madea" films suffered a setback in a new celebrity poll on Thursday (March 15). The survey showed "Hot in Cleveland" star White was the most liked Hollywood celebrity in its survey covering calendar year 2011, a spot she also held in 2010.

But the percentage of respondents who said they like Perry a lot dropped by 14 points, which the research firm pinned on a "South Park" spoof of the star and controversy surrounding him.

An arrest warrant for Russell Brand has been issued in New Orleans, after a photographer accused the British comedian and actor of grabbing his iPhone and tossing it through a window. The misdemeanor warrant is for suspicion of simple criminal damage and the offense carries a $700 fine. Last year, Brand was deported from Japan over his criminal history and in 2010, he was arrested for an alleged attack on a paparazzi at a Los Angeles airport.

Rihanna's musical collaboration with Chris Brown may have raised some eyebrows but the R&B star says the teamwork "made sense."

Brown appears on a remix of her song "Birthday Cake" and she returns the favor on a remix of his "Turn up the Music." Their music union is noteworthy because Brown beat up Rihanna three years ago and is still on probation for the assault. Rihanna told L.A. radio host Ryan Seacrest it was her idea for Brown to appear on her song because he's "the hottest R&B artist" right now. He then asked her to be on his song. She calls the whole collaboration "innocent."
