Plant spacing is very important for the grow room for a number of reasons. If your plants are spaced too far apart then you’re wasting light and valuable canopy space. However if you’re growing too close together you have shading, which leads to the underdevelopment of the buds; it also creates an environment conducive to mould, mildew, and bacterial growth.

Get your spacing right before inducing flowering. Ensure that your plants still have room between each other to allow for future growth during the flowering period, plants will typically grow another 25-50% larger during flowering. This is something that the grower will have to experiment with, depending upon how large the plants became during the period of vegetative growth. If the plants do begin to grow too close to each other prune off any overlapping foliage.
