Story: President Barack Obama on Tuesday defended a joint trade dispute between the U.S., European Union and Japan against China over rare earth exports, saying the goal of the trade case is to ensure U.S. workers get a fair shot in the global economy.
"So our administration will bring this case against China today. We will keep working every single day to give American workers, and American businesses, a fair shot in the global economy," Obama said in a Tuesday statement in the White House Rose Garden.
