Marrying Pop Sensibilities with a desire to rock as hard as possible History Of The Trade formed in early 2009 and immediately set about proving themselves as an exciting live band, stunning the 1500 strong crowd at Keynestock 2009, prompting UKC Live Music Society proclaiming the band "Indie Rock Heroes" ... not bad for a second gig!

The band released their first self produced and self titled E.P, mastered by Pink Floyd Engineer Andy Jackson in the summer of 2009, which has garnered praise from, amongst others, Manchester rockers Nine Black Alps.

After a quick switch of drummer and some new songs the band have been gigging fervently. Supporting underground indie heroes Tubelord, Huw Stephens favorites Elephants, British rock legends Feeder and mainstream pop royalty Florence and The Machine, playing a sold out 100 Club as part of Feed Me Music Promotions Future Rock night and receiving airplay on BBC 6 Music Introducing with their latest single 'You Found:Moon', History Of The Trade are in the process of securing themselves as a band to watch.

Their latest EP "6ix Hurdles" is out now on iTunes, Amazon mp3 and Spotify, with NBT Independent Music calling it "sparkly, raw [and] energetically beautiful.
