Protesters bang the drum against airport noise

Banging drums and blowing whistles, protesters in Frankfurt are calling for Europe's third busiest airport to shut down its newest runway.

Many of them now find they live under the flight path of big airliners and say the noise is unbearable.

The disruptive demonstrators are holding rallies weekly ahead of a court ruling this month.
