South Shore Melody Boys - Oh Maud

This appears to be a pseudonym for a Louisvile, Ky territory band led by Art Payne, including Ray Putnam (clarinet and alt saxophone) and unidentified members, and of which for the rest nothing is known although he cut around 16 sides in the early till late 20s. By lack of visual material of the orchestra, I included some period Louisville views. This hot record was made in 1924.
