It's a new era BalconyTV fans! We are now coming to you from our new home, the legendary HARD ROCK CAFE in Nashville, TN! We love it there and we're sure you will too!
We've decided to kickoff this new era of BalconyTV Nashville with our good friend Jeffrey James!
For singer/songwriter Jeffrey James, debuting his first full-length album this past April , 2010, came with its fair share of pressure. But most of that pressure came from him self.
"I wanted people to hear who I was and what I could do musically," James said. "But I also I wanted to put something out that would be at the quality level of the stuff you'd hear on radio. and recorded and written at a level that people could easily enjoy. Especially since it's my first album."
The 24-year-old pop/rock, singer/songwriter came out last year with his debut full-length album Just Right -- available now on iTunes -- and has already won an award for his single "Always the Same." The song took the Grand Prize in the Expose Yourself Songwriting Contest on ReviewPosse.
"[It has a] great rhythmic approach and easy going groove with memorable voicing by Jeffrey -- it doesn't get much better than this." said writer Sylus Brown, a panelist for the contest.
James was invited to join a group of 30 local musicians, including artists such as Dave Barnes and Andy Davis, in a two-disc compilation album called "For Nashville For Haiti." The proceeds for the album go to relief organizations helping the victims of the flood in Nashville and the earthquake in Haiti.
All of this is fit in to James' hectic tour schedule as he promotes his album throughout Nashville and the Midwest. The Brownsburg, Ind. native started garnering fan interest on Facebook last October, and after three months of posts had 60,000 fans.
"Social networking is great but I think people will really make the connection with you when they see you in person," James said. "And I think when I perform live is really my best opportunity to win over fans."
James is currenty recording a new EP set to be released in April 2011
