Italian police injured in rail link protest

At least thirteen Italian police officers have been injured in clashes with protesters opposed to a planned high-speed rail link between France and Italy. The disturbances erupted in Val de Susa near the border after demonstrators blocked a motorway. It was the latest in a series of violent confrontations over the controversial project.
