Janine Foster is a magical music-box of New Order, The XX, Ellie Goulding, Lupe Fiasco and Bon Iver influences. There's never been a local songbird quite like her before. The girl can SING! She likes basketball, painting, skateboarding and surprises... a jumble not unlike the wonder you'll feel when you first hear her live.
Having recently won the Juice TV and University of Auckland's Songwriter of The Year Finals in September, Janine and the band have been making big steps. In the last four months alone Janine and the band have been delighting ears at various occasions, including End Of Daze Festival (with State of Mind, Kidz In Space, Motorcade and Computers Want Me Dead), the opening act for the 'Tomorrow When The War Began' NZ film premiere, Fashion Quarterly magazine's 30th Birthday Party and Girlfriend Magazine's Live Tour.
Janine is all set this summer to put the pop back into pop-sicle!
