Severe weather kills three in Tennessee

At least three people died in Tennessee during storms and possible tornadoes from a system moving from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast states.
The death toll from the storm system now stands at 12.
Late-afternoon violent weather swept across middle Tennessee and slammed especially hard into the Cumberland Plateau region east of Nashville.
Aerial views show the extent of the damage. Six people were confirmed dead from a large tornado in southern Illinois, and three people died in Missouri.
