Popper Must (Be) est un projet mené par Henode, écrivain et chanteur du groupe "Pique la Lune!".
Jusqu'alors batteur depuis 7 ans puis auteur interprète, il commence à composer alors qu'il découvre le revival folk du début des années 60 et ses influences (De Woody Guthrie à Pete Seeger, des premiers albums de Joan Baez et Dylan à ceux de Richie Havens Judy Collins ou Phil Ochs), et l'authenticité qui se dégage de celle-ci.
Mais il est également marqué par d'autres influences: du blues de Robert Johnson aux rythmes synthético-hypnothiques de Suicide, des mélodies venues d'ailleurs de Robert Wyatt à l'énergie Nietzschéenne des Doors, du silence déchiré par le murmure des anges de l'album Laughing Stock de Talk Talk à la perfection mélodique des Beach House...
Il enregistre, durant le début d'année 2010, un premier EP.
Popper Must (Be) is a project lead by Henode, writer and singer of the band "Pique la Lune!"
Drummer for 7 years, he started to compose when he discovered 60's folk revival artists and their influences (From Woody Guthrie to Pete Seeger, from the first records of Joan Baez or Dylan to Judy Collins or Phil Ochs),and the unique authenticy of their songs. But he was also marked by different and eclectic types of music: Robert Johnson's blues, hypnothics and sunthetics rythms of Suicide, outertime melodies of Robert Wyatt, Nietzschean energy and poetry of the Doors, silence teared by angels's murmurs in Talk Talk's Laughing Stock Album, melodious perfection of Beach House. During 2010, he recorded his first EP under the name of Popper Must (Be).
