Thakur Ram Singh and his wife, Saraswati adopt an orphan boy and name him Shiva. Shortly afterwards they are blessed with a boy and a girl. A property dispute leads to Ram Singh getting murdered by Arjun and his family lose their property and are forced to live a poor life. Arjun tries to take advantage of the Ram Singh's widowed wife but Shiva intervenes and ends up killing Arjun. The police arrest Siva and is sentenced to several years in prison. Years later, Shiva returns to his village much to the delight of his mother. Siva falls in love with Jharna, the niece of Arjun, and the daughter of wealthy Sher Singh, who opposes any alliance with Shiva. Shiva's brother and sister who harbored hate for him since childhood, plot with others to drive him out of the family and take over the remaining property of their dead father. Can Shiva tackle the odds stacked against him and set things right for his family?
