Tomsk special economic zone

The SEZ is a part of the Russian Federation territory where there is a special mode of entrepreneurship.
The Tomsk technology development special economic zone (the SEZ of Tomsk) is created by the Government decree in consequence of the victory of Tomsk region in the federal competitive tendering of the subjects of the RF for creating technology development special economic zones within their territories. In general there 4 such SEZs: besides Tomsk, there are zones in St. Petersburg, Moscow (Zelenograd administrative district) and Moscow region (Dubna town).
The SEZ is within the limits of the city and consists of 2 areas: N. 1 (The southern area) and N. 2 (the northern area). The area N. 1 (192,4 ha) is situated in the eastern part of Tomsk near the territory of Tomsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science (TSC SB RAS); the area N. 2 (14,6 ha) is in the northern part of Tomsk and borders upon the territory of the LLC “Tomskneftekhim”.
