Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you Gypsies On The Autobahn. Formed in late 2006 GOTA is made up of a group of friends from Dublin and two brothers. In the short time that this act has been together they have quickly become one of the main contenders on the up and coming Irish music scene. They have developed a very unique alternative sound and a highly energetic and exciting performance which has seen them drawing in the crowds at their gigs.
They have been gigging steadily since their inception playing the best venues on offer in Dublin, The Village, Whelans, Eamonn Dorans and The Sugar Club. As busy as they have been 2010 seems to be their year. In recent months they have brought Get My Spoon Management into the fold who are looking to help them develop an innovative approach to their music. They have most recently played two of the biggest private events this country has to offer. They opened the main stage of The Gathering in Maynooth supporting The Coronas, Duke Special, The Magic Numbers and Japanese Popstars.
In April 2010 they played their biggest event to date, The Trinity Ball, Europes largest private party. GOTA are currently working on finishing the tracks for their debut EP which they hope to release in late 2010. The goal for the summer for the Gypsies is to write new material and when the summer ends return to gigging with an even more exciting and energetic set.
Gypsies are always open to opportunities and if you have any interest in offering gigs to the band they welcome any opportunity for new experiences.
