Switzerland is home to about 30 species of bat and most of them are endangered. The nature group Pro Natura named the long-eared bat 2012 animal of the year, to draw attention to the plight of these mammals. swissinfo wanted to find out what threats they face and how ordinary people can help to ensure their survival.
