It takes more than just a pretty face to thrive on the world's top catwalks.
And model Josephine Skriver proved that by documenting her first five days at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York - capturing everything from show rehearsals to backstage fun.
After one year as a full-time professional model signed to the Marilyn Agency in New York, Skriver says she loves the creative side of the job.
"Where you get dressed up, you get to play another character. Like today we're these fabulous girls in big gowns and amazing hair and makeup. And sometimes you have to be more cool and grungy. It's really nice, I like trying to be different people."
The highly sought-after model walked in more than 19 shows during fashion week, including Victoria Beckham and Derek Lam.
And while she makes it look easy, she explains that is one of the biggest misconceptions.
"A lot of my friends are just, 'But you just stand around the whole day, or you just sit around.' Yeah, but try to stay awake for one month without sleep, having seven people touch you all the time and be happy anyway. And even though everything hurts, you'll like, 'of course, it's ok, no problem."
When it comes time to navigating the runway, the green-eyed beauty says staying focused is sometimes tricky.
"Mostly I try to have a happy feeling or flirt with the camera at the end, like I'm going down to meet my boyfriend or something, just to get that look in your eye. But sometimes if the catwalk is too long my head starts to wander and I start to think, 'focus, you're in a show.'"
Discovered at age 15 by a scout, Skriver, says modeling has given her a passport to the world.
"The experience we get, there is no way you're going to meet this many great people," she said. "Like you see people from all over the world, you get to travel a lot. Even though you don't see the places that much because you're always going straight to studios and back, but it's still, you get so many experiences that you would never have otherwise."
