LAYLA ANNA-LEE with ALEX HALL
When Alex was eight he was bought his first classical guitar and as he approached his early teens, he turned to electric/acoustic playing - as well as piano, and began forming creative projects with friends. He studied music academically for three years when he was eighteen at the reputable Performance Academy in Newcastle Upon Tyne before moving back to his rural roots in The New Forest (via Brighton for a year during 2008).
"There are so many great artists with great songs and I find it hard to pigeonhole my influences and what I believe my music to sound like. It has to be a great 'song' regardless of any genre to me for me to like a particular piece of music.
Reluctantly answering, Alex regards Ryan Adams, Damien Rice, Randy Newman and Ray Lamontagne as possible key influences on his music.
