New heights for Sam Worthington

Sam Worthington was back on firm ground for Monday's New York premiere of his latest movie 'Man on a Ledge'.
The actor, who spent most of his time filming on a ledge for this, said high concentration was needed to get it done:
SOUNDBITE Sam Worthington, actor, saying (English):
"There is always trepidation doing something like this, knowing that you will spend a majority up there and a majority of filming up there. You are always very cautions and you never get complacent, you are 220 odd feet in the air."
In the movie, Worthington plays ex-cop Nick Cassidy, who stands on the ledge of a New York City hotel after an impossible escape from prison. Fellow NYPD officer Lydia Mercer, played by Elizabeth Banks, tries to talk Nick off the ledge. But she discovers that he may have his own agenda and
at the same time might dig up one of the force's biggest conspiracies.
During filming, Banks got a special insight into people's lives:
SOUNDBITE) Elizabeth Banks, actress, saying (English)
"It was fun to kind of see into the windows of all the other New Yorkers, way below as they were sort of having their coffee and going about their daily lives. I was at my job and they were at there job. Mine just happened to be out on a ledge."
Also starring in the movie are Ed Harris and Ed Burns who credits Worthington with taking on this role:
(SOUNDBITE) Ed Burns, actor, saying (English)
"It took such courage, to get out there on the ledge, and he is not doing this just for the action sequences, he actually has to go out there and act. That is pretty daunting and pretty challenging. I think he pulled it off."
For Worthington, the decision to do this film was a no brainer:
SOUNDBITE Sam Worthington, actor, saying (English):
"It is still an action movie and I do movies that I would go and see, to pay money that I would go and see, that is the best barometer that I got. It has some of the car chases and thrilling stunts and high rise hotels. It is a popcorn movie and a lot of fun. It is not that different from the other stuff."
"Man on a Ledge" will be in cinemas in the US from January 27.
