It was a birthday behind bars for the founder of one of the web's most controversial internet sites.
Kim Dotcom was arrested by police in New Zealand over the weekend on accusations of making millions off media piracy.
His website, Megaupload.com, is filled with movies and tv shows - a cache authorities say violates a host of copyright laws.
The German-national Dotcom was arrested at his luxury mansion in New Zealand countryside on Friday.
New Zealand's opposition questioned why he was allowed into the country in the first place.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) OPPOSITION SPOKESPERSON FOR IMMIGRATION, NZ LABOUR PARTY, DARIEN FENTON, SAYING:
"Let's make sure we get people of good character into New Zealand, and not just allow money to get in the way, and allow people to buy their way into New Zealand."
One analyst said the 38-year-old's arrest means big problems for Megaupload.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE, INTERNET NEW ZEALAND INC., VIKRAM KUMAR, SAYING:
"They were very large. It's very unlikely that they'll re-emerge at that size and in exactly the same form."
The group is accused of engaging in a scheme that took more than 500 million US dollars away from copyright holders.
