ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION STORY: A mass collision on a northern German highway killed at least one person on Friday (January 20) and seriously injured several others, according to German media reports. Some 25 vehicles, both cars and trucks, crashed into each other on the A1 autobahn near Cloppenburg, latest reports said. Many parts of Germany's highways do not have speed limits and it was not clear whether there was a limit on the stretch of motorway where the accident occurred. The relevant Delmenhorst police station could not immediately be reached for comment. German drivers, with their love for high-powered cars, often reach speeds of 200km/h (124 mph) and more on those parts of motorways where there is no speed limit.
