ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION
One person was killed and scores wounded after an explosion in the south-eastern Turkish city of Hakkari on Thursday (January 19).
The provincial governor, Muammer Turker, said the explosion happened when a police car was driving on the street.
Clashes erupted between locals and police after the explosion. Police used water cannons and smoke grenades to disperse the crowd.
Seven policemen were among the wounded.
Local television footage showed a wounded protester was carried by locals.
